In the past 6 years of being a painter and art coach, I’ve still cringed at the sight of my taxes. Cried when no one bought my favorite paintings.
And felt like my art would never matter.

And the homework can be terrifying. Your classmates all look like Harry Potter characters. And your mentors are actual ghosts. So, why exactly did we sign up?

My relationship with money was messed up pretty much since the day I stepped foot at my first day of college at the tender age of 16. I was TERRIFIED of managing resources, let alone classrooms and customers. But I knew if I wanted to do what I love, I would have to reprogram my entire subconscious, actively attune to my internal value, and do things I didn’t want to do—like setting up a template in Mailchimp. (I will never get those 4 days back of overthinking every little widget before finally sending my first newsletter, hah).
If you can learn to embrace your fears and seek answers when you need them, you’re well on your way to being that version of you dancing in the mirror in your underpants with paint all over the place. Maybe at 4. Maybe at 14. She danced her tush off. She’s the artist I know and love. Let’s set them free!
